Women's workwear

Forcast has dressed Australian women for work since 1992, and this is the full range in one place. It is built around tailoring that holds its shape from the first meeting to the last train home: suit sets to wear together or split, pants in every cut from slim to wide leg, dresses that are one decision and a whole outfit, and the shirts, blouses and knits that finish them. Every style is cut in sizes 4 to 18.

Shop it by piece

Start with the piece your wardrobe is missing. Work blazers and jackets come in single-breasted, double-breasted and collarless cuts, and many share a fabric with a matching pant or skirt, so a suit can be built one piece at a time. Work skirts run from pencil to A-line and midi, and work pants cover the cuts in between. Styles like the Nikki Tailored Pants and the Mae Satin Shirt carry a week on their own.

Dress codes, decoded

Not every office wants the same thing. The classic corporate edit is the formal end of the range: structured suiting, pencil skirts and sleeved dresses for client-facing roles. Business casual softens the tailoring with cardigans, knit tops and relaxed pants for offices with a looser code, while smart casual covers the days between, when the outfit still has to look deliberate.

What to wear it with

A suit is what to reach for when you do not know what to wear. Soften a tailored blazer and matching pant with a plain tank or a fine knit, then split the set later: the blazer over denim, the pant with a knit top on a quieter day. A work dress is the shortest route to a finished outfit, with a blazer added when the day calls for it.

Finishing it

Small pieces do the last bit of work. The range includes bags such as the Leanna Shoulder Bag, scarves like the Mila Satin Scarf, and jewellery from the Lupita Gold Loop Earrings to the Amaris Crystal Chain Necklace.

How to shop it

Sizes run 4 to 18 across the range, so a shirt, pant and jacket bought separately can still be built into one outfit. Check the size guide if you are new to a cut, and browse suit sets when you want the matching pieces together.
