Work Skirts
Women's work skirts
A work skirt has to sit still while you do not: through a commute, a day at a desk and a walk between meetings. Forcast work skirts are cut in pencil, column, A-line and faux wrap silhouettes, from mini through midi to maxi lengths, in sizes 4 to 18. Many have a matching blazer, so a skirt suit is there if you want one.
Find the right cut
The pencil skirt, like the Thea Pencil Skirt, is the classic corporate option: fitted through the hip, finishing at or below the knee, and the sharpest match for a single-breasted blazer. A column skirt in crepe does the same job with more drape. A-line and faux wrap skirts skim rather than fit and suit a business casual code, while a pinstripe mini or a tailored skort works with tights in a relaxed office.
Midi is the most versatile length for most offices and most heights. See the midi skirts for every fabric we cut it in, or a flared maxi if you want the office look to carry into evening.
Fabric and fit
The range runs across suiting, ponte, crepe, faux leather and denim, so you can match the weight to the season and the dress code. Suiting and ponte hold a line through a long day, while crepe drapes more softly over the hip. Black and navy are the skirts to start with, with pinstripe, print and embroidered styles joining them through the season.
Build the suit
Several work skirts share their name and fabric with a blazer, so you can buy the pair together in suit sets or build it one piece at a time from work jackets and blazers.
What to wear with it
A tucked shirt or satin style from work tops keeps the waist clean. A fine knit tucked or half-tucked softens a pencil skirt for a relaxed office, and in winter opaque tights and an ankle boot see it through. Sizes run 4 to 18; the size guide has the measurements if you sit between two.
