Women's work pants that sit properly and stay that way

A good pair of work pants is the most-worn thing in a working wardrobe, so ours are cut to be worn on repeat. Forcast work pants come in tailored, wide leg, straight leg, slim, bootleg, cropped and high-waisted fits, in sizes 4 to 18, in suiting blends with enough stretch to recover after a day at a desk.

Find your fit

Wide leg pants, like the Andrea Wide Leg Pants, balance a fitted top or a tucked shirt and read as the most formal option in the range. Straight leg pants are the classic office trouser: full length, clean from hip to hem, and the easiest to pair with heels or flats. Slim cuts suit a longer blazer or a longline vest. Cropped and crop flare pants finish above the ankle and work with a loafer or a low heel through the warmer months. A bootleg, such as the Chelsea Bootleg Pants, skims the hip and evens out the leg. High-waisted pants sit at the narrowest part of the torso, which draws the eye to the waist and lengthens the leg.

Comfort without the compromise

A tailored pant should not have to be undone by 3pm. Several of our styles, including the Maggie Elastic Waist Pants and the Zoe Elastic Pinstripe Pants, have an elasticated waist, so they look sharp and sit easy. Pleated crepe pants drape rather than cling, and linen pants keep the same tailored line for summer.

Build the suit

Many of our work pants share a name and a fabric with a blazer, so you can buy the pair first and add the jacket when you need it, or shop them together in suit sets. Black and navy are the working uniform; pinstripes, seasonal colours and prints join them through the year.

What to wear them with

A satin shirt or fine knit from our work tops tucks cleanly into a high waist. A shell or cami layers under a work blazer without adding bulk at the waistband. For a relaxed office, swap the blazer for a cardigan and finish with a belt.
