Sale knitwear collects the knits leaving the Forcast range at a reduced price: V-neck and round neck knits, cardigans with buttons or zips, cable and check jumpers, argyle knit vests, short-sleeve knits and knit skirts. It is the knitwear that made up last season's office layers, in sizes 4 to 18, priced to clear.

What to look for

The mix changes as ranges finish, so the useful approach is to shop by shape rather than by a particular style. A plain V-neck or crew neck knit in a neutral colour goes with everything in a working wardrobe. A cardigan is the piece most people wish they had bought in the previous cool season, and sale is where it costs least. Patterned knits, stripes and vests are the ones to add once the basics are covered, and a knit skirt pairs with a matching knit for a simple two-piece.

How to shop it

Sale stock is limited to what is on hand, so sizes sell through. Filter by your size first, and decide on the knit while it is available. If your size has gone, the current range is in knitwear, cardigans and jumpers. Sale pants and sale skirts round out an outfit for less.
