A work skirt has to sit still while you do not: through a commute, a day at a desk and a walk between meetings. Find the right cut
The pencil skirt, like the Thea Pencil Skirt, is the classic corporate option: fitted through the hip, finishing at or below the knee, and the sharpest match for a single-breasted blazer. A-line and faux wrap skirts skim rather than fit and suit a business casual code, and a pinstripe mini or a tailored skort works with tights in a relaxed office. Build the suit
Several of our work skirts share their name and fabric with a work blazer, so a skirt suit can be bought as a suit set or built one piece at a time. Black and navy are the skirts to start with; pinstripe, print and embroidered skirts join them through the season.
What to wear with a work skirt
A tucked shirt or satin top from our work tops keeps the line clean at the waist. A fine knit tucked or half-tucked softens a pencil skirt for a relaxed office. In winter, opaque tights and an ankle boot, and a coat from outerwear that finishes below the hem. A faux leather or denim skirt with a blazer covers a smart casual Friday.
